"I have animated this corpse. I have put into motion that which has not the will to rise. I have taken despair and frustration and terror and used them to fuel action. Independent and driven--yet needing contact for stability and contentment. Sulking in past mistakes, brooding over yesterday's happiness, searching for the key to tomorrow--the answer to right now. But my body won't stop shaking and my eyes can't stay focused. Has decay set in?"
I love the light and shade between Bryan's dirty and Emma's forlorn vocals. There are so many layers to this recording that are driven home through contrast. Plus the riffs are brilliant and get me moving. I can't stop listening to Thou and Emma in general lately. spaceman2250
Nirvana, for whatever reason, was my gateway to metal and heavy music in general. So this brings me full circle. The covers are really faithful but only as Thou can deliver it. rettisawesome
